I put this one on my list of books because who doesn't like a book about someone who likes books?

This is the story of Nina Hill. She works in a bookstore and has her life organized how she likes it. She is single, but keeps herself busy with work, her trivia team, her cat Phil, and her books. She likes to plan life, but suddenly the father she never knew dies and she discovers a new family. She fully intends to ignore them all, but they don't want to ignore her!

Not only does she suddenly have a big family, she also becomes interested in Tom, her trivia nemesis. Tom starts showing up at the book store and Nina slowly allows him into her life. And Nina makes another friend, Abby who we later learn has a link to Tom.

Nina is quirky and set in her ways, but does discover that family, friends, and a potential partner has its benefits as long as she is brave enough to accept them.

I liked this one and I liked how the characters from The Garden of Small Beginnings were also part of this book. I hope there are more books where they make an appearance. I always like finding little connections between books.
