Rich People Problems - Kevin Kwan

This is the third and final book in the Crazy Rich Asians series. I think I bought the first one and then got the next two from book club. Everyone wanted to read them in book club because the series is quite good.

In the third book Nick and Rachel have been married for a few years when Nick gets a call that his grandmother has had a heart attack. At first Nick is not going to return to see her, but Rachel convinces him to go back and make peace with her.

Astrid is also a large focus of this book, as she has been in the other ones. Now we find Astrid and Michael together while both their divorces proceed. Things seem to be going great, but jealous exes and paparazzi make things harder. It seems they might not be destined to be together after all.

Eddie is shown being typically Eddie, he gets extremely annoying. The book also focuses a lot on Kitty Pong and her new life with Colette's father (you may remember Colette from the second book, Carlton's ex-girlfriend). Kitty is determined to become the most famous person in Singapore so she can outshine Colette.

I generally enjoyed the characters in this book, but the constant switching between voices each chapter gets old fast for me. I don't want to switch to a new character just when things are getting interesting with one. I want to know what's going to happen. So I flip forward to find out. I know it's the style of these novels but personally I find it frustrating and don't really like it.

Overall this was a good ending to the series, though the first one was definitely the best one. If you have read the first one or two, you do need to read this one to find out what happens to the family!
