I picked this book up from the library right before we went back into a lockdown of sorts where many businesses were closed due to the pandemic, the library being one of them, so I stocked up!
This is a mystery that follows detective Nola MacIntire and her partner Tony Angelotti while they try to solve three murders in Santa Barbara during a film festival.
The murders all happen early on in the book and the detectives are being pressured to solve the cases quickly so the film festival is not put in jeopardy. While all three don't seem to be connected, Nola is determined to find the link that connects all three.
I enjoyed this book, and generally enjoyed the characters, though Nola could have toned down all the comments about aging. This is supposed to be the first in a series following these characters, but the book was written in 2015 and so far is the only one.
