Another library book! I just can't help myself when I'm at the library and see an interesting looking cover!

This is the story of Adam Coryell. He is 17 and in grade 12. He loves writing and has a strange obsession with fountain pens. Adam walks into his homeroom class on the first day of school and meets Ms. Davenport. She asks him and a few others to come back after school to help her with a small experiment. He runs into Ms. Davenport again in his last class, a creative writing class he takes with his girlfriend Alli.

Adam meets Ms. Davenport after school and his life changes. She takes some measurements and discovers that Adam's body is in perfect proportion for golf. According to the theory, Adam can't practice golf as that would destroy his natural ability. He doesn't believe that this could be possible, but goes to the golf course with Ms. Davenport and tests the theory. It turns out that Adam is amazing at golf, provided he has to hit the ball straight and long. With Ms. Davenport, Adam becomes a golf star, however it takes his life in a drastically different path than he had planned.

Adam finds fame and fortune, but is not truly happy. A traumatic experience makes him rethink his future.

This was a great book. I found Adam so easy to like, though there were a few times I found him frustrating when he would complain about being along for the ride with a body that was amazing. I would definitely recommend this one. It's easy to read and you genuinely want Adam to be happy.
