Another random library pick last time the library was open. I liked the cover and the title so decided to try it.

This book is about Hildy and Paul who are both participating in a psychology study to see if people can form a relationship after answering 36 questions. Hildy is in grade twelve and Paul dropped out a few years ago. They are very clearly opposites and do not get along very well when they start the questions. Eventually Hildy gets annoyed and throws a bagged puffer fish purchased for her brother at Paul's head and leaves. Even though they were supposed to be anonymous, Hildy gave enough away that Paul was able to track her down on social media and begin an online conversation where they kept answering the questions.

We see how Hildy interacts with her family and her guilt at exposing a secret that could tear her family apart. We see how Paul manages to survive alone. Hildy and Paul grow closer together as they keep answering the questions.

I'm sure you can figure out the ending already.

The book was okay, but maybe because it was about high school students I just couldn't relate to what was going on...guess I'm getting to old for YA. Hildy was so worried about her parent's possible divorce and her role in it that it got annoying to listen to her complain. Paul was a typical bad boy character that a good girl like Hildy shouldn't get involved with. This was an easy read, but definitely not the best.
